Kids Jam: We Jam, You’re Jelly @ Mars Theater
Jul 22 @ 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm

This is a weekly informal gathering for young musicians (ages 10+) to learn how to make music together and improvise over basic forms. All instruments including electric instruments are allowed; it is encouraged that you have some proficiency on your chosen instrument. (Drum sets will not be allowed due to volume; other percussion instruments are acceptable.) If you choose to bring an electric instrument, you must also bring your own amp. We will be working on chord progressions in different genres of music, improvisation, soloing, and comping all while receiving feedback from the instructor. Feel free to bring song ideas for the group to play or a song that you want to learn.

Consistent weekly attendance is not mandatory and there is no fee. Donations are welcome; all proceeds will go to the WYO Theater.

This program will be led by private music instructor, Max McClenahan, who is also the instructor of the YMCA Guitar Program. You can contact the WYO Theater or the instructor for further details.

When: Every Monday from 6pm – 7:30pm; starting July 1st
